KAUST has declared all-out war on the local mosquitoes, which have infected at least two students with Dengue fever this week. Every night now, three guys in a pickup truck drive down every road on campus spraying thick clouds of pesticides into the air. I don't know what it is, but it makes my eyes water and throat itch - I can even smell it indoors.
